Beadwork - Phantasea Necklace

Purple Phantasy Necklace
This necklace is a project that I started awhile back. I took a class to learn how to do it correctly at the Spring Oasis show. Using a beautiful Phantasea Shell by glass artist Susan Hood you create dangles with a selection of beads, crystals and stones. The dangles and the shell at strung with more beads, crystals and stones. I created an interwoven necklace.
I will finally be able to give this necklace to my friend Anna for her birthday... only belated by about 2 years.

  3. Thanks for the compliments.
I know that she will like it as they are her favourite colours. Now I have to work with the shell that I selected for myself. Hopefully I will be quicker this time.

  4. Beautiful! Saw similar necklace in recent book by Dylon Whyte on page 138. How on earth do I purchase/commission a bead from Susan Hood to make one for me? All her www.glassharpgallery.com links are dead. Any one's help in buying one Phantsea focal bead greatly appreciated!
